There is nothing better than taking a little drive to visit some of the beautiful little villages and towns nearby where we live and work.
We are fortunate enough to live within an afternoon out from the stunning Cotswold area , and a 15 minute drive from Leamington Spa . These wonderful surroundings have inspired us to create our Hettie Spa Collection with it's soothing colour palette of blues and neutrals . Escape to countryside villages and towns with Hettie and explore somewhere new.
The colours in the Cotswold villages are amazing, and so relaxing . Cotwsold stone is famous for it's honey or golden glow , but did you know the colour of the stone varies depending where it was quarried ? Moving towards the centre of the Cotswold area the stone becomes more golden , and by the time you reach Bath in the south , it is a creamy-white colour with grey hues.
Meandering along the main streets and paths in these beautiful places, and wandering in and out of the little shops is one of our favourite pastimes together. And stopping for a good old British afternoon tea always a very important part of the day !
Our lifestyle accessories collections are perfect for days out together . Amelia is wearing our Hettie dog lead for her afternoon tea out , and our Kate tote bag above is a perfect size for shopping trips.
Characterized by cute small towns and villages built from Cotswold stone, the region is (unsurprisingly) designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chocolate box cottages, miniature canals, beautiful hotels, rolling hills and an exceptionally high standard of produce mean that it is definitely a place to put on your list to visit . It is impossible to list all of the wonderful things to do once you are there , but you can see a list of some of the attractions in this list by Time Out
Perfectly dressed for the occasion , Alfie looks the dapper gent in his Hettie dog coat
And the Hettie family live not far from the wonderful Spa town of Leamington Spa
This stunning regency town inspired our Hettie Spa collection and you can read a bit more about it here
Leamington is a Spa town and is a lovely town to visit. Before around 1800 the town of Leamington Spa was just a tiny village but the rediscovery of its saline springs in 1784 led to the building of baths, including The Royal Pump Rooms and Baths, which claimed to cure and relieve ‘stiffness of tendons’ and ‘rigidity of the joints’ and included assembly rooms, popular with the Georgians. Today the Royal Pump Rooms are now home to a cultural centre, which houses Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum.
You can go inside the Royal Pump Rooms and see where people used to go to "take the water " in the hopes of finding a cure for various ailments. It is a fascinating place to visit and free to wander around.
Stunning architecture , wide boulevards , regency details and doors , and the famous honey or golden glow of the stone architecture have inspired our palette for our Hettie Spa collection. It also reminds us of the spa buildings that provide space for relaxation and recuperation. Containing calming and soothing blues, it will promote serenity and contemplation in your home and on our lifestyle accessories for your everyday life.
