A very Merry Christmas from our family to yours

Is everyone ready for Christmas yet ? So much to do , but it really is the most wonderful time of the year. Time to be with friends and family and make happy memories . And a time to be grateful for what we have and the people that surround us.

Our house is a big old house and is just perfect for filling with Christmas decorations. The light up reindeer come out of the loft first and the children help put them up outside the front door

Many of our decorations have been around for a long time and  have memories attached to them . Things that the children made when they were little , and things that are special to the granchildren now. This little robin has been in the family since I was a little girl . Hopefully he will be here for the next generation to put on the tree .

Decorations relating to dogs seem to be part of the theme also - we seem to accumulate more each year !

And our dogs get very interested in the decorating not wanting to be left out of what is going on in their house .

Every year we visit the little nursery in the neighbouring village to choose our Christmas tree . Tom the head gardener there has been selling us our trees for around 20 years and I love the tradition of visiting him and trying to decide the best tree to have .

It's mostly a green , gold and red theme in the house , but our lounge and fireplace have silver and purple decorations around the fireplace

This year we will be adding some of our new Hettie decorations

The house is full of people and noise which I love. For the last few years we have taken a four generations family photo which is so special. Lots of food and a long walk before watching a film together .

From all of the Hettie family we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas with the ones you love. Thankyou for all of your support over this last year and a very Happy New year to you all .
