REACH Customer information

REACH - Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals

With REACH, the European Community has created a harmonised System for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of chemicals. The goal is to ensure a high level of protection for the environment, health and safety.

All pet hardware products are articles, not substances or preparations, as defined by REACH. The following requirements of the REACH directive are therefore particularly relevant:

  1. Information requirements regarding articles containing substances of very high concern (SVHC) at concentrations in excess of 0.1%.
  2. Observance of substances requiring authorisation in accordance with REACH Annex XIV. 3. Observance of the manufacturing, marketing and use restrictions specified in REACH Annex XVII.

Our supplier has always shown responsibility and care to promote secure and environmentally friendly products. It is our aim to keep our products safe and to employ substances which are safe to use and represent no health hazard as well as minimise the environmental impact.

They have stated "We observe all authorisation obligations in accordance to REACH Annex XIV, as well as all restrictions on manufacturing, marketing and use of substances, as defined in Annex XVII of REACH. All products delivered by our supplier comply with the substance-related requirements of REACH.

We closely monitor the “candidate list”, as published by the European Chemicals Agency, in which substances of very high concern (SVHC) are listed. We continuously evaluate our products proactively to ensure we take appropriate action! Therefore, we are well prepared not only for the current situation, but also for future additions to the candidate list.

Provided that we acquire knowledge of the presence of SVHC in our products, we will certainly inform you according to our legal obligations according to REACH article 33."
