Inviting people into our homes again

Sprucing up the guest bedroom

Isn't it wonderful to be able to invite people into our homes again after so many months of lockdown and isolation ?!

And we are able to have people to stay overnight now that we are all in Step 3 of the roadmap. These long-awaited reunions with family and friends call for some extra-special details.

Refresh your spare bedroom, and make it cosy for guests by adding in some fresh cushions and throws from our Hettie Home Collection. These lovely designs are from our Hettie Woodland collection with it's beautiful pink and lavender palette.

Cosy spaces to relax together outdoors

Summer is nearly here , and longer warmer evenings to sit outside. Wrap up with our 100% woollen throws , and make cosy relaxing areas outside in the fresh air.

There is nothing better than sitting outside with friends and family , either around the barbecue or firepit - with a nice glass of your favourite tipple in hand. Made using pure new wool, our Hettie throws carry the Woolmark- the world's best known textile brand, guaranteeing an assurance of quality to the highest standard.

Freshen up all around your home

Handbags to deliver gifts

The best guests bring gifts with them :-) Offers of food and drink are always welcome at our house , and flowers for the table a lovely bonus .

Our Hettie Kate tote handbags are roomy enough to fit in gifts for the day - even the French baguette and a bottle of wine !

I take mine to the French market when we go and stay in our holiday home there. We have a choice of beautiful fabric options for sunshine day trips.

Hugging !

How wonderful it is to be able to hug one another again ! It has been one of the hardest parts of lockdown for me.

We hug others when we’re excited, happy, sad, or trying to comfort. Hugging, it seems, is universally comforting. It makes us feel good. And it turns out that hugging is proven to make us healthier and happier.

According to scientists, the benefits of hugging go beyond that warm feeling you get when you hold someone in your arms. So, if you want to feel better about yourself, reduce your stress, improve communication, and be happier and healthier, giving and asking for more hugs is a good place to start.

And now we can again !

Writing a thank you note

It's always lovely to receive a thank you note if you have hosted guests. And good to write to people in this day and age of constant technology.

Our lovely Hettie greetings cards are left blank for your own message , and printed on 300gsm matt and slightly textured white cards in an A6 postcard size. Depicting the Hettie lifestyle perfectly they are available in an assorted pack of seven lovely designs. Discover them here
